2011 Project

With the help of other 'angels', we helped fund the cost of CAFRED's ongoing educational programs for the children in El Olimpo, El Salvador.

Why should we help?

Prior to CAFRED's contribution of a brand new school, El Olimpo's only school was a makeshift building made of wood, mud, bamboo, straw and laminate. A recent storm had blown away a portion of the roof.

The one and only teacher (responsible for kindergarten through grade four) was desperate to keep the students who would be entering fifth grade in 2010. That would have been impossible without additional teachers and a new facility.

The village doesn't take our help for granted. The men, women, and children of the village all pitched in and worked very hard to help the CAFRED team.
